I went back to the Jura today and after leaving a very sunny Lausanne was disapointed to fine naff weather in the mountains,I walked miles looking for these guys,7 Chamois saw me coming and legged it and i thought that was that,I sat around for a while watching some ring ouzels that have now come to the top since the snow has gone then in the distance i saw what i thought was more Chamois however upon looking thru my bins reconised the different horns so made my way around and was suprised to see 6 young ibex together in one of the meadows,I took it slow making sure they knew i was there,I find this the best way as if you try to creep up it spooks them and they are off,This you guy was curious and after a while came over to check me out,The meadow areas are covered in small crocus,Also saw my first marmot today so worth the soaking

Hi Dave, even though the weather sounded bad you still came away with a great shot IMO, great storyline to outlining what else you experienced on the way. Sounds like a good trip out alltold

I also enjoyed your narrative and a fine portrait you've captured to accompany it.
Ditto Justin's comments. Your second sharpened post looks much better IMO
