Just chillin'
Nikon D7000 300mm f4 + TC 17e ISO 800 1/400s at f8 monopod

Mountain hare taking it easy in a bit of watery winter sunshine. Ten minutes later a golden eagle came floating over and the hare made a hurried departure. Many thanks for the comments on my previous posts.

'The hare really stands out'

Not surprising it made a quick exit when the eagle came. Some nice detail in the large version.

I like this a lot. In fact I reckon it's one of your best. The composition is spot on for me. The rolling contours of the grass and heather covered tussocks accentuate the 'gentleness' of the scene and compliments the rounded shape of the hare. Detail is great on both the hare and the environment and I really cannot find fault with it. Overall, I just get a sense of serenity whilst looking at this. Very nice indeed. :toast:

What a gorgeous setting for this small Hare and it stands out really nicely from the BG.
Well done!

Well seen and well photographed. As already mentioned some good detail in the larger version.

Having cropped this towards a pano already I think I would crop even more to emphasise the pano effect. Taking some more off the bottom would reduce or eliminate the OOF left hand corner. - Might be worth a try?

Cheers
