Hi all,
I decided to post this photo taken last summer in the light of Johns recent post. I brought the south Wales weather to Essex, this fox had just had a good soaking.
Techs: Canon 7D, EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM @ f/4, 1/1250, ISO400. Manual exposure, fullframe. Processed in CS5, NR with Nik Dfine. Huge thanks to Phil.
Thanks for the comments on my photos so far, c's and c's welcome as always.
Thanks.

Really excellent Paul.
Sorry I don't have anything more constructive to say but I can not fault it.
Nice to get one out in the open like that. His expression makes him lok a bit drunk. I like the eye contact.

The pose is fantastic, looks as though its stalking you! The yellow mush is not too distracting and gives the feeling of being a vole trying to hide from Mr fox. Nothing to criticise as it is an excellent image.
Nick.

Great expression and the layers of vetch look good.

very nice Paul, I like that a lot. My first thought was that it might benefit from a bit off the top but on balance I think it's fine as it is.

Hi Paul,
I would crop this to lose much of the green background above the fox and to move the fox's head off centre. So with the crop tool set to 3x2 ratio I would start at bottom right corner and extent the crop marque to the point where the yellow flowers at the bottom of the frame start to peter out. This will move the fox away from the centre. Having said that, the position in which you have captured the fox is a bit awkward in my opinion and the crop doesn't do a lot to mitigate that. Also, the colours look a little flat to me; make sure that you have converted the file to sRGB and that you check the box to embed the profile for posting.

This is very nice as is though I did think maybe some of top giving making 3 distinct bands or if not considered dark arts maybe add some more to bottom. Great pose and eye contact.
