I haven't been posting much, but after the shindig I decided it's time to come back, had a good time with great people.
Last year I went up to the snowies with Randy Van Winkle, we had some nice light but no clouds. Critique appreciated

This is a powerful image - I don't think the lack of clouds diminishes the power or beauty of this scene. Actually, I think the sky gives it a rather "pure" look and feel. There is great interest level throughout the image - foreground lakes, background range, and the beautifully warm light on the huge wall of rock with interesting detail.

Nice light! The skies are of little consequence to me.
The panoramic format really works great for the composition you chose.
My eye travels well and effortlessly across the entire scene.
Nicely done David! The cool purples in the lakes and sky on the left contrast nicely with the warm sunrise on the peaks. As you know, one of my favorite places in the Central Rockies!

Here's a perfect pano composition. I just love the distant mountains just kissing the horizon. The way the morning rays of your foreground finally meet the equally intense rays in the distance, just beautiful.
Very nice shot David! I agree that the pano format works really well here. Great light on the ridge.

Great composition David, I like the visual layers though the image, it lets the eye move through real nice. Great light too!

The light on the ridge face is the show here. And the curved talus slopes and foreground angle are good leads to the main lake at the bottom. Since there are no clouds, my eyes don't leave the mountain.

No clouds, no problem. The sweeping view and warm light on the peaks here is more than enough to keep my attention too. Love it!

Wow! Incredible shot. My family and I just went camping up near there---amazing place. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get out for sunrise, so it's good to see some shots during those great hours of sunlight! TFS...
