Final Snowy Kestrel
I am trying to take more habitat/landscape type shots but I suspect that I have a lot to learn. Keen to give it a bash though:wink:

MkIV 500f4 ISO 160 1/4000 f4 tripod & mongoose head very slight crop only

Love this Bob. My favourite from the set I think. Super composition, light, colours, and bg :toast: :toast:

Oh yes - gorgeous! Superbly composed and the bird is looking right into the frame. Leading lines, triangles, depth, use of colour - it's got the lot! One of the best shots I've seen posted for a long time.

Ian has said it all.......great comp with the fence leading the eye to the bird and the snow is the icing on the cake (pun fully intended!) Just off to turn the heating up!

Lovely shot, great composition with the fence leading your eye to the Kestrel. Love the way she stands out against the snow - beautiful!

Many thanks for all the kind comments. I actually preferred 'Snowy Kestrel 1' but that is because of the pleasure I got from her allowing me to approach so close across what was an open field

Small in the frame is working very well here, Bob. The setting is very nice and makes the shot for me. No nits from my end.
