Rosario Beach, Whidbey Is
Went up there on business. Eked out a half-baked sunset at Rosario---was just nice being out!-JG

This is nice jack, love the colors in the water. I am glad you got a chance to get behind the camera.

The colors in sky and water are really great on this Jack. I love the composition and the fiery gold cast of the foreground water.
Excellent job!

I know this beach well! My neighbor around the corner teaches sophomore biology where my daughters went to high school, and they take a bird and marine biology field trip to Rosario each spring for three days. For five years, or so, now, I've tagged along to help with the birding. I'm often busy with the kids and don't photograph much, and I'd love to return for a weekend just to take pictures. (I did sneak away one morning to photograph the bonzai looking tree that is at the beginning of the trail to Bowman Bay back in 2007, but there is so much more there!

Wonderful gold Jack, and the dark intrusion of the rock sets the comp up well.
