Great image Alan and well exposed with fantastic light. The white on the head is a little bright but that's to be expected with a black bird. Those feet are amazing though! You must have been fairly close.......hope you weren't sat on the ice..........brrrrrrrrr!
Nick.

Cracking shot Alan. Sharpness is spot on and you've captured the plumage superbly. The feet are very reptilian! Only tiny nit is the head is a tad bright as Nick has pointed out.

Very smart Alan. A tadge big in the frame for me but it is still a good shot

I think it is over exposed ... sorry the blacks look good but the highlight (white head) look blown, maybe able to recover, do love the feet almost look like they don't belong ...
On my screen Alan the blacks look a bit light to me which may account for the blown crown. (or it could just be my screen) These birds certainly look different out of the water.

A wee bit over exposed but the feet are amazing. Nice image.

Very nice Alan,
Got to love the weirded feet on them.
Looks OK to me but viewing on an iPad

An excellent image Alan, the lighting on the Coot is just about perfect, no nits from me
On my recent foray into Coot photography this was the shot I most wanted, but things didn't quite pan out, maybe I'll get the shot in the next cold snap.

nice detail in the blacks and great to see those feet so clearly. The whites do look hot but could be down to compression. An attractive image.

Alan the little nits have been covered but all in all an excellent shot.
