Just a dahlia I dug out of the archives and processed on Valentine's Day. Another one of those I passed over on my original look at the day's shoot, and for some reason looked better to me after some time passed.

I like the comp Ned. Is it missing some of your usual sharpness or are my eyes just not working well yet this morning?

I kept it pretty soft in Lightroom as I liked the effect..
Nice, nice dof on this one, Ned. The softness lends a gentleness that's perfect for Valentine's Day. I like the bud at top in contrasting color.

Thanks very much. I have too many flower images but I know I will be shooting the heck out of them again in 2012. I have a new Lensbaby Optic and will probably pick up the newly announced to try as well.
