Well, a cold windy day in northern Colorado has inspired me to spend my day viewing some great photography and information in this forum.
Since relocating to Wellington from Wyoming, it certainly allows me easier access to some spectacular photo opportunities! Although I have always enjoyed landscape photography, I am venturing out more into macro/closeup photography, as the software and hardware has improved so much over the years.
I enjoy "creating" art with my images, thus, I certainly don't hesitate using Aperture and Nik filters to recreate the images as I viewed them in the field. To this end, I also find blending images of differing exposures quite beneficial.
Interesting that my first love of photography started 30 years ago when I first moved to Colorado. Been a few other places since, but its nice to return to familiar country. I will say, however, many places I hiked in last year certainly have been "discovered" by hoards of people!
