Spring arrived in north Texas last Friday when the first redbuds blossomed. Daffodils are popping up and the bradford pears will start any day. Seems to be about 5-8 days early this year but we did have a mild winter. Last year everything was 7-10 days late.
I'll have to see if I can get a picture of something.
Goodbye winter. Hello spring!

I think you're right ... strong storms in the area last night knocked out power for about 1,500 people just a few miles from my place last night. Too dang early for thunderstorms!

Yes, it would be early for those t-storms. We have avoided them, so far. We have actually had some nice rains since Thanksgiving locally. Technically we are still in a drought, but the last three months have been wet. It actually gets me to wondering about a possible nice wildflower bloom.
Last year was not a good year but with a mild winter and decent rain, it could be a good year. Guess we will know in a few more weeks.
