Whats for Breakfast
A fortunate morning today at the wildlife refuge, spotting 3 American Bitterns. I selected this image to crop (45% of original) as a portrait and for the Bitterns obvious concentration on finding his next meal.

Boy! That is a portrait of I-N-T-E-N-S-I-T-Y right there! Amazing shot and processing Craig. You really captured the look. Some might object to the reed crossing the end of the beak. I think it adds to the effect. NOTHING is going to distract this hunter from its mission!

Great capture! That is an intense stare!

Thanks Catherine and Ned for your comments. Catherine I should have notice how the forward reed over the beak might be distracting to some. So, if it is...... this ones for you!

Nice job craig, love the stare and how this image makes you feel like your right in the reeds with the bittern.

As Catherine stated, this is a very intense image. I really like the look of concentration in the bird's eye. The edited version turned out very well...looks very natural to me.
