Yea, I miss my favorite time of year. So, in the meantime I will reminisce about this past fall.
The panorama was created from 4 images of East Beckwith near Crested Butte. Although I was anticipating a fantastic sunrise, the clouds didn't cooperate. However, 45 minutes after sunrise, this cloud just appeared low on the peak creating an interesting effect. Even though I didn't get any amazing colors with the sunrise, the clouds did provide a nice soft-light effect on the aspen.
I recently printed this image and did something I always wanted to try. Separating a panorama into separate images that hang next to each other. Another compelling reason for that choice was the size of the pano. At 16" in height is would have been 62 inches in length. My printer has a limitation of 37", so my choice was made.
