Nice soft light in the first image. Is the second one from aztec butte?

Sweet. I like them both. It does look like Aztec Butte.

Great! The second one is really nice!

I like them both. The first one is well-composed but seems a bit underexposed to me. Evocative lighting on the second one, with a beautiful contrast between warm and cool colors.

I really like the second one!

Hi Richard, I prefer #1. I think the color is spectacular and the comp is very nice as well. Check for blending haloing around the edges of Candlestick Tower, and possibly bumping up the brightness on the image a nothch.

Like the stars in the second image. Also like the way the light brings out the warm colors in the rocks.

The composition of #1 is outstanding. A bit more work in the 'development' phase can really make this one sing!
#2 is simply excellent! I love the lit interior of the ruin and the sandstone. Good thinking! My only nit is that an image like this needs no vignette at all. If you can fix that, you have a winner here.
Mind sharing how you achieved this image?

I would echo the comments about #1 being a little to dark; just bump the foreground up a little - maybe with a grad in lightroom. I really like #2, but I think the light on the edge of the doorway is a little too hot. I'd bring just that down a little. Both are great shots!

I agree with the others! #1 looks real nice to me.
