Something different for this time of year.....
Hi all

I've not had any time recently to do any photography, and having had a super new PC built, I've just about finished getting to where the old one was in terms of the software, LR & CS actions and processes etc.,. All very time consuming.

Anyway, I'm pretty much up and running now, so here's my first post for 2012. Nothing new, but hopefully something some of you at least will get to see this year.

Taken on Unst last summer:

1D MKIII, 500mm f4, f7.1, 1/250 @ iso400 + extn tubes

A nice Puffin portrait...maybe a bit higher in the frame would work but still nice as is!

Very nice indeed, perhaps a little higher in the frame as Rene says. Lovely smooth background. The detail in the larger version is just superb!

Lovely portrait, Graham. The BG sets it off a treat, agree re higher in the frame.

Great detail on the bird, and the green background really suits it. I also agree about higher in the frame.
