whiling away a bit of time so here is one from last summer, one of the waterfalls in the Stubai valley, Austria. Slight crop and converted to B&W to reduce impact of the surrounding trees

A shame there's no sound to go with it. I like the drama you've captured., and the simulacrum of a dog in the spray to the upper right. :-) ;-)

It is a dramatic scene and best viewed large. Just a couple of nits from my end, top of the image just about centre/right there seems to be what looks like foliage which is reflecting the light, this really draws the eye and could do with toning down a touch. Secondly I think I would crop in from the right and lose that rock that is just creeping into the bottom of the shot, this would also remove that very distinct black band thats running down the righthand side of the image. Other than those minor points I like it, Mike.

Mike I think it is a nice moody image with some room for improvement. Maybe slower shutter speed to enhance it a bit ? And I agree with Andy's remarks with regards to the composition.

Hi Mike, Nice shot. agree with the composition ideas and also th b&w conversion is leaving a lot of very dark blacks a polarizer would have cut out the reflections on the rocks. but as i said nice shot

That's an interesting subject with a number of points which further enhances the image.

Great stuff, you cant beat the snow melt in the alps. Best tackled with a kayak though so roll on June

I find it a bit dark overall to be honest, but you can hear the roar!
I'm afraid this one doesn't do anything fo me at all. The dark areas to the top and right don't add anything to the image and overall it looks somewhat murky.
