I have an older Canon 24-70 F/2.8 L series lens that I would like to get calibrated. Unfortunately, Canon no longer offers any service for this lens since they stopped making parts for it in 2009. Does anyone have any suggestions about where I can send it?
KEH has a great new repair service: I bet they can do it for you. They will work on almost any camer or lens, they said - surely an older Canon.
Good luck -

If you're using a 5DII camera, you perform the calibration yourself, Michael.
I also wonder what parts are needed to perform a simple lens calibration.
Isn't Canon still selling this lens, even with the replacement just announced? I can't believe that they won't service it (and ditto John's comment). Sometimes Canon really annoys me...
Sorry I can't help with your question, but I'd be interested if you find a good solution.

I'm guessing he meant the 28-70L rather than the 24-70L? Id also like to hear a ball park price quote for such a service (I know microadjust is helpful, but its not the means to an end if there is an issue with the lens.
