Spotted Fly.....
...and an unlucky Wasp.

I've been going through my RAW's from last year recently and came across this one.

These Flycatchers come up to this location each year, breed, then go back to Africa again. This was shot at the beginning of July, in dawn light, using my 4x4 as a hide.

A pretty image of this Flycatcher, really like the smooth background.

Youve nailed that one Graham. Like the head stone portrait and the comp. Hope there back again this year

Graham i do like the headstone and the bg making a perfect setting ,the bird itself looks a little soft to me could of course be these old eyes of mine.

An unusual image and perch for a SFC.

Great setting and perch make for a really interesting shot, especially with the text present.

Interesting one Graham. Looks OK genearally but I do feel the stone is too dominant. Hard to explain.
Good story shot though as there does seem to be an affinity between these birds and churchyards.
Cheers
