As i keep mentioning the Jura range where i do my Chamois and Ibex shots i thought i would give you an insight,Not as dramatic as the Alpes and here its only 1400 metres high,Taken yesterday when i said the weather was naff,Some of the clouds were lower than me and would roll up the side of the mountain, drift across the top (where i was) and roll into the next valley,Its always surreal to sit in the middle of a cloud and also to look down on them,Looking through the view finder at an ibex and its catching nice light and seconds later you think the view finder is fogging up only to find the cloud rolling in and the ibex dissapears for a few seconds-always when the are posing nicely,The joys of alpine photography, still wouldnt have it any other way

Naff or not, its nice to see what you have to endure....nature photgrapher and mountaineer...all in one!

Don't ya just love it when clouds drift by below you?
Makes me feel dizzy, even after years of being used to it.
Good to see what kind of trerrain you are covering out there.
What a great place to live! Do you have to walk, or can you drive up to that point? Looks like quite a height!

Amazed you make it up there with your wobbly legs, bad back, vertigo and a love of beer! I think this is called an 'inversion'. My brother's valley in Chamonix has been filled with cloud for most of this year... its very strange when you climb through it and pop out into sunshine and blue sky. How about putting the cam on a tripod and doing a self portrait?
Hi Dave, got back up here after a while, not so sure my legs would stop wobbling up there to take a steady shot.........we will be over soon I hope.

Nice atmospheric Image. Looks like a stunning place to spend your days, also a good way to get over vertigo
