I'm taking my family to Yellowstone National Park this summer and I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a good photo guide to the park. I have enjoyed Laurent Martres' guide books to the Southwest. Is there a comparable guide for Wyoming, or the park itself?
Thanks for any ideas.

I've found the yellowstone.net forums very helpful when I went for my first time. I know national geographic had a pretty decent guide book for yellowstone and the tetons. But the first option I listed had literally everything you needed to know.
I am heading to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons this Summer and I found the following book had good reviews: PHOTOGRAPHING YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - GUSTAV W. VERDERBER (PAPERBACK)
I just ordered it and it has yet to arrive. Under $10 on Ebay

I thought that Dean S was making an iPhotoguide for Yellowstone. I have not heard of its release yet. Maybe he or Bret can provide some update.
iFotoGuide: Yellowstone is done and finished, and rejected by Apple several times because it isn't "interactive" enough - whatever the hell that means. Unfortunately, we're done creating new iFotoGuides because of Apple's ridiculous assessment of the app.
Re: guides to Yellowstone, the Joseph K. Lange book mentioned by Doug is a good one. I also recommend Robert Hitchman's Photograph America newsletter for Yellowstone. Don't know what number it is in the edition, though.
Since Apple canned our project I'm working on a photo guide e-book of Yellowstone National Park that should be ready in month. It contains over 40 landscape photo locations with images, with GPS co-ordinates, weather info, best time to shoot, how to get there, best wildlife locations and much, much more. Similar to the iFotoGuides that Bret puts out. Send me an e-mail Michael if you're interested.
I have a book called Hiking Yellowstone National Park by Bill Schneider. As the name suggests, it's not a book for photography, but it is a very comprehensive hiking book and also details all the backcountry campgrounds, which I highly recommend. The author breaks the hikes down by length as well as difficulty and lists his favorite hikes for photography in each category as well.
