Coal Tit
Periparus ater

Hello all,

Thanks for the comments on my last post, much appreciated.

Didn't have a chance to get out last week, (and probably won't next week :frown: ) so here's one from a while ago. The branch was in full sun, so the decorative ice was slowly melting... but there's still a bit on there!

Techs:
D300s, 500mm f4,
1/200 sec @ f8 ISO320
-0.3 exp comp
Tripod

C and C welcome!

Thanks for looking :wavey:

Lovely bright image and the touch of snow/ice on the branch adds to the image. It looks nice and sharp and the BG compliments the bird very well. All in all a very nice coal tit image and knowing how fast these little birds move I would be very happy with this image.

A very nice comlimentary coloured background on this one Dawn. Good detail on the bird and a nice catchlight in the eye to top it off. Nice one. :toast:

A classic BOAT, both bird and twig imbued with character, standing out against a great BG.
