I hope they don't need to change that light bulb very often.

They seem confident in their climbing ability and maybe rightfully so, but they sure put a lot of faith those manmade ladder rungs are secure. Use those carabiners!!!!!!

I don't have a fear of heights, but I could sure learn climbing that high!

I can honestly say there is NO amount of money that would get me to do that.

I have almost zero fear of heights, but that looks giddy even to me. Still, my main response was, "What an awesome job!" But it probably means living in places without mountains on which to put those things.

You got that right, TC! I lasted about 15 seconds watching that. I can't even watch a video of someone doing that much less ever hope to attempt it myself!

Now you know how I felt at Toroweap and Horseshoe Bend...I'm still having nightmares!

I've seen this video before at work. Contrary to what the guy says in the video, this is NOT how most people climb towers. I climb some for my job (comm tech at Union Pacific), and it is 100% mandatory to have at least 1 safety device on at all times. If we got caught freeclimbing (not that I would anyways), it's at least time off with no pay, if not fired. OSHA would have a complete shit fit. I'm just thankful our towers at work at not remotely this tall.

Am I the only one to notice that this guy wasn't wearing any safety gear.... no line attached to anything. Frigging nuts!

No, Bert, you weren't. Like Joshua said, I was just thinking about how many stupid chances this guy was taking. I was also thinking that, as long as it must have taken to climb UP that tower, it would've taken even longer to climb back DOWN. At least I always found going down ladders demanding somewhat more caution than going up.

I've hiked up some tall peaks, and have even sky dived, but climbing one of those? Uh-huh! Too far to fall to survive, and not high enough to use a chute...
I don't know how much those guys make, but it's a bargain.
As for the bag hanging below him, I don't think it's carrying just his tools...

I've done a lot of technical climbing and climbing like that is suicidal! I'd never trust a single point of protection let alone free solo at any height over 15 feet. Then, at the top, the lead guy goes hands free before clipping in!?!?

I noticed that the faces were blurred out. I wonder how quickly those guys would be fired if they were identified.

Id climb it for 100,000. Id do it blindfolded for $1,000,000, NO wait, reverse those figures--it would be easier to climb it blindfolded.
