It looks like sunset this Saturday is set for about 6pm so I think meeting at 3 would be a good time to start heading up. This will give everyone time to scout around and check out conditions.
The parking area is easy to get to:
Head up I-70 and take exit 195 to Leadville (Hwy 91). The parking area is a large flat area on your left 5.8 miles up 91. It is almost at the top of the hill, so if you start heading back down, you have gone too far. There is no sign indicating you are at the Mayflower Gulch trailhead. The trail itself is a logging road so very wide on a gradual incline.
I have had something come up, so I am looking at a 50/50 chance of being there , but I will know for sure on Friday.
Could someone who is going for sure, please indicate what they are driving so people know they've reached the right parking lot?
This is the list of folks who have responded so far:
Fred Braun (maybe)
David Kingham
Jon LaBass (maybe)
Morris McClung (maybe)
Bill Pelzmann
Anne Rusk
Russ Shugart (maybe)
Joshua Warrender (maybe)

Sorry to miss you, Morris, but it sounds like you will have a great weekend! See you Bill and Russ! It is looking like I can make it (black jeep liberty).
Have fun everyone! Looking forward to seeing the images!

Well, we were going to go until... stomach flu. Both JR and I are down and out. We were hoping it would clear out by this afternoon, but no dice. I hope you all have a good time and get some great stuff!

I'll be driving a dark blue-grey, 4 door Jeep Wrangler.
