This image is not for critique....i just took delivery of the small mirror less nikon V1 camera together with the AF1 adapter. This allows me to use my G lenses (like the 70-200VR2) on this camera. I took it to Bushy park for a test drive on the local duck pond and i was really impressed by the image quality, speed and quiet operation of the camera.
There are some limitations: for example you can only use the centre AF and it will not allow for "follow focus"
it will not replace my large DSLRs but as a little walk about/back up camera it will do fine and it is good enough for some serious bird photography and for sure i will take this camera with me when i go to Belarus next month. And if ever any of the restrictions on these camera's will be taken away, i might well be tempted to ditch the DSLRs!

I have had the V1 and FT1 for while now and like you I am very impressed with the little camera. I use it with the 70-200 VR and the 200-400 VR2 and have had very good results within.
