Ozark Wildflowers and Prairies
For those of you that are wildflower enthusiasts, Don Kurz has just published the 2nd edition of his well-known Ozark Wildflowers book. It should be available at your local bookstore.

As a member of the Missouri Prairie Foundation, I receive a quarterly publication with tons of information on Missouri prairies. In the latest issue, it was mentioned that a portion of Schwartz Prairie was burned this past December, so the pale purple coneflower should be putting on a stunning display this year.

One of the many benefits of a membership (tax-deductable) in MPF is an invitation to events like the 3rd Annual Prairie Bioblitz, to be held on Schwartz Prairie June 9th and 10th. If you're interested, here's a link for more information Missouri Prairie Foundation.

Fantastic image!!! Sounds like a great organization too. I saw bluebonnets on Friday. Hoping our winter rains will make it a good wildflower season here in Texas.

Hey Bill, Beautiful shot. Love the serenity and peacefulness it portrays. This looks like a great spot to just sit back and relax and observe.
