Mayflower Gulch Pano
First time at this Gulch and definitely is an impressive site! Had a great time meeting some RMNP members; Bill, Josh, and Fred. Not sure we could have had better weather.

To get this sense of size of this Gulch, the image is three images stitched together.
As usual, any critiques are welcome.

Ken, great shot! Looks like you were up pretty close to the top of the ridge on the south rim. Looks like you guys had great conditions. I really wish I could have made it but something came up at the last minute. I can't wait to see more shots from here.

I really missed finally meeting you guys. Hopefully next time.

Obviously, you've been there Russ. Yes, I was about 3/4 ways up that south ridge. Fred, BIll, and Josh are all in the photo, but appear as specks!

Very nice! Sweet light and a beautiful winter scene.
I could see cropping a half inch or so from the left side for the sake of symmetry, and slightly darkening the area of the image not in direct sunlight to show just a bit more contrast between that area and the lit peaks.

Ken, I really enjoyed meeting you. Looking forward to seeing more of you macro work.

Great basinwide composition. I'm glad at least one of us went up high.
I like the line of trees you were able to get in the foreground. We only had one available from our hill.

Good meeting you Ken, it was a fun day. You really hiked up there pretty far, interesting the difference in angle.

Ken, I have been up there a few times. Next time I'd really like to get to the top of that ridge and see what kind of a pano shot I could get from that vantage point with both drainages in the shot. Were you on skis or snowshoes? It is a fun ride down from there!

Russ,
We all were using snowshoes, but I saw plenty of ski tracks that far up as well. I thought about going all the way to the top, but I liked the viewpoint at stopped at in order to capture the line of trees in the foreground. And, I was quickly running out of gas...that's a steep pitch on that south side!

Ken, I like how the curved string of firs counters the ridge. Nice wide view. Looks a little flat though- maybe adjust the levels' lower output.
