So many different textures here, the rain, the post the wire and, of course, the bird itself. They combine to make a terrific image, like Phil I like it a lot.

Great bird and post - super details and textures as has been commented. I've seen lots of these around my local area and I have never once seen one stood on anthing other than the ground!

fully agree about the square crop, a bit more on the right would finish it off nicely. It's a great image otherwise, I like it a lot.
