She Who Must Be Obeyed gave me a pass and I headed to the hills. I met up with the Takahik group out of Russellville, Ar for a hike down thru Braodwater Hollow into Thunder Canyon and those falls. My first time up that way and I will say the Thunder Canyon part of the hike is a bit of a challenge...watch uyour step carefully. 15 hearty souls enjoyed a great day weather-wise and enough flow on waterfalls to be satisfied. Those who make the trip be advised that the footing is treacherous both on the approach and in the canyon itself. The slot canyon is quite interesting and beautiful...think I am gonna need a rope and harness and some instruction to work it though.....

Bob, looks like a neat area. It might just be me but it looks slightly tilted. You might also consider taking it monochrome too.
Bob, excellent capture of the falls. Glad you made it safely! I have never been to this area but need to get there sometime soon. Your picture has inspired me to go sooner than later.

Looks like quite a place Bob. Glad you made it in and out so you could share this shot with us.
Thanks for the input folks. The last quarter mile into this thing is a Tim Ernst "medium bushwhack" which I have found to be all I ever wanted. And this was. The actual slot is fairly narrow until the prize at the end. Cut out of solid rock and slick as snot...I caught it in a fairly low water situation. If you fell down onto/into the sucker it would be a very unpleasant experience...but I am positive there are some great images to made down in there. Just got to figure out a way.....a partner with a rope and a harness perhaps?
BTW this is the year I man up and go for a couple of the difficult bushwhacks......and my first broken bone no doubt.
