What was that?
Nikon D7000 300mm f4 TC-14e ISO 500 1/400s at f7.1 tripod

Taken last year about three miles from home. Stalked to within about 10m. The otter has a crab in the seaweed but typically it turned its back on me to eat it. Something made it look up whilst I took this shot and I spent over half an hour in its company beforeit made of up the coast still unaware of my presence. All C+C warmly welcomed.

Well caught Nick. Great detail and a lovely inquisitive expression. Composition is good (some might say a lower viewpoint would be better but I know that when these opportunities come along you take what you can) . I think if it were mine I would crop a little off the top (not much) as I don't think the brown water is adding anything to the shot. Nice one. :toast: :toast:

( 1/400th @ F7.1 iso 500 . . . . . . you lucky, lucky b-------d )

Hello Nick.

I think the POV as worked really well here and the back view with the head turn is really nice.

Very nice Nick. As previously said, maybe a lower POV would be nice, but given the difficulty of taking any photos of these animals, I'd be happy with this one in my collection! :toast: :toast: :toast:
