So, awhile back, someone had posted a link to a juried competition at the Business of Arts Center in Manitou Springs - the Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Photography something or other along those lines. Did anyone else get work in? Just wondering if I should be looking out for anyone at the reception on Friday.

Contact member Steve Weaver. He seems to be plugged in to these shows.

I had two of my pieces selected as well. I'm looking forward to seeing the other images selected for the show

Maybe the CNPers who got work into the show can post them here so we can see what got in?

Steve-
Those are both gorgeous! I like that for your two accepted entries one is color and one b/w. Nice work!

I apparently don't know the right forum code or don't have enough privileges to do it, but my piece is here:

Don and Becky - Congratulations to both of you!! I went to the opening reception and was happy to see CNPers work in the show!

And the big news... Becky received honorable mention for her work, and what Modest Don isn't telling is that his photo won First Place and was sold on the first night of the show!

Great work!!

Congratulations Don and Becky for their placings and to Steve Weaver for getting entries into the show too! BTW Steve, I absolutely love your B+W mountain scene, especially the way the shape of the central cloud mimics the peaks.

Thanks! I was totally shocked! I literally walked into the show, saw the first two pieces on the wall, turned to my mother and said, "If this is what I'm up against, there is no way I'm winning anything." The photos on exhibition were all really good and often stunning. And since this was by far the largest show I've ever submitted to, I had no expectations anyway. I was looking for familiar names on nametags all night and never saw any, and my parents and I were apparently wandering through the other part of the building when they decided to present awards, so I totally missed all the CNP folks. Don, we were all marveling over your hummingbird - I have a weakness for hummingbirds as it is, but the shot is really excellent.

Don,

That image is really stunning. Definitely in the OMG territory. Excellent job.

I've been prepping /traveling for a business trip but wanted to include the two images I had selected for the show.

This image is called "Morning Flight" and was shot at Bosque del Apache back in January.
