Sorry, everyone. Spring is over and we are now into summer. :)
I just spent 3 days in the Smokies (March 14-16) and things are waaaayyyyyy ahead of schedule. I even found an opened sweet white trillium on Wednesday, March 14th. That has GOT to be a record.
The Phlox are already beginning to bloom in the Sink. It's over, I tell ya. Bring on summer. :)
Also, as you might have noticed, I've stepped down as moderator here. It's now Matthew and Jerry.
I've been busy on some other things and have not gotten out to shoot wildflowers this spring. I sure hope I can find something in the next two weekends. It will be a long year if spring is gone before the end of March.

Richard, sounds wild. I'm planning on heading west from Raleigh the last weekend in April, it sounds like things in the Sink may be in full effect before I get there.
You're running some single and multi day workshops this spring, right?

Thanks for the report Richard. Just my luck, haven't been to the Smokies in April since 09, but I'll be up there at the end of April anyway. If things keep up, maybe Roan will be blooming by then!
