One plus and a lot of minuses to this program. On the plus, you get recognition but that is about all. They pay rock bottom dollar for your images and the royalties will give you enough money to buy a couple of lottery tickets. I looked into this before and to be honest, the only one making money is AFW.
I kind of figured that might be the case, more cons then pros

Jack is right on the head with his comments. I contacted AFW and spoke with a woman (very condescending tone) who explained that the photographers 'chosen' would receive a whopping 3% royalty of the retail sales. The photographers will get 'so much wonderful exposure' with this and 'no one is getting rich from it'. No one but AFW.

Ron, I stopped at the 3% royalty.
Do they also require exclusive sales rights for any images they select ?
wow, 3% is just insulting. They think that the time and effort spent in the field, and the money spent on fuel lodging and equipment is only worth 3 cents on the dollar? I wonder how many takers they're gonna get on such a fenomenal offer. Do you suppose the furniture manufacturer only gets 3%
