Being of a strictly Bah Humbug nature I was very grumpy when they started putting videos into my still cameras. Until now that is.
During this otter project I have taken many images of otters on a particularly favoured eating place. Some have been posted on here and received mixed reviews. The abundance of branches create a very fussy image and in all honesty I was at a bit of a loss when it came to trying to think of a way of creating a worthwhile image. Last Sunday when Pink Nose decided to use that tree to bring back and eat several fish I suddenly thought "I'll hit the video button". Today I signed up to YouTube and uploaded one of the clips, so take a look and let me know what you think.

that's excellent Robert and just goes to show how the useful video can be. That was well worth recording and is certainly not a sight I've ever seen myself.

Great stuff Robert. I use vid a lot especially when the light is poor. Perhaps some info on your body, lens & settings would be informative to those who do not make use of the vid facility on their bodies? For example at 6400 ISO, 50th @ f4 my 5dMk2 pruces great stuff with plenty of DOF in near darkness

Excellent. I find the added value and quality of the video is a bonus to all cameras that have it.
Great stuff Robert. I'm starting to use the video a bit more on my DSLR now as well

Ab Fab Robert!!! Love it when the otter almost gags on the tail! Its amazing that when you have a moving object that you forget the branches and other background stuff. Keep em coming my friend!
