Lovely light and perch, sharpness and exposure spot on. Maybe a smidgen too large in the frame

Thanks Rene, I got the head too near the top of the frame so it is a litle large in frame.

Gorgeous lighting on this one, Nick. The very minor nit has been covered, but this is still a lovely shot of a Greenfinch.

Nick

I don't see what's wrong with big in frame such details you can't ask for more. Smashing image.

I don't mind big in frame but would prefer this just slightly smaller, but great details and light and a nice pose too.

I would prefer a little bit smaller, but other than that a great image. Gorgeous light and great detail.

great light and detail, with others I find it a bit big in the frame for my tastes, its more American style of cropping?

Thanks folks for taking the time and trouble to comment, always greatly appreciated. I kinda knew it was a bit too big in frame after the shot was taken when I realised I had the head too close to the top of the frame but I liked the pose and detail on the head. Not many greenfinch about these days so was pleased to get this one in some good light.

You can't beat BIF, IMHO, shows all the detail. Great stuff, only lacking the third dimension.
