Common frog
Garden pond full of these chaps basking in the unseasonally warm weather. Even had a few small torts flying around, which is unusual for us before April. Got the camera out for the first time in months and took a few froggy shots in the last of the evening sun.

D7000 1/200 @ f.11
ISO 1250
Nikon 300mm f4 w. PN11 extension tube.

Love the head on shot and low angle.

Works for me, Malcolm. The dark area running across the bottom of the image is a slight distraction, but it's not a deal breaker by any means. Wish I had frogs in my garden.

Andy...

Typical froggy shot. Good stuff. Been doing them myself today and toads out too.

Great shot Malcolm, the weed on the frogs mouth really adds to the image.

Lots of toads on the roads at night, they appear like magic. Love the posed and angle.

I must check out the ponds around the farm especially if I could get an image as smart as this

I like the low point of view here. I agree with Andy though about the dark area, but otherwise a great frog shot.
