Wandering around the Utah desert this weekend, I found this interesting rock art in a photogenic alcove. It's been informally dubbed Eagle Eye, but any suggestions for a new name and for improving the image generally appreciated as always.
And I thought I'd try it b&w with just a hint of the original color coming through.

I really like the BW. The rock art seems to pop out more.

Hey John, I totally prefer the B&W on this one. I agree with Dan about it making the rock art stand out more, but it also makes the ark rings down look awesome. It makes me feel like I am looking down a tunnel. I really like the comp and wouldn't change anything personally.

Count me as another vote for b&w. Very striking image, John.

I prefer the B&W (at least this morning I do ) The greenery at the end of the curve is not as noticeable without the color contrast. To enhance the eagle's head in the color version (as some noted it was more visible in the B&W), might you increase the contrast in that selected area or just over the lines of the art?
It's a gorgeous art piece by both creator and photographer. I prefer the color version and would suggest cropping the small piece of greenery on the RH side. My eye traveled from the eagle eye to the green and got stuck there.
Thanks for the kind words and especially the suggestions. I really appreciate it!

I'm with Dave Showalter on this....color is my favorite. Clone/crop the tiny bit of green at the end, and it's perfect. I really love how the arcing rock moves the eye further into to the photo. Well done!
