Update: I made a few improvements, so if you have an old version, check out the new one - details on my website.

---

For those of you that like shooting star trails I thought you might be interested to know that I've posted a free photoshop script on my website that will automatically stack an arbitrary number of images files (tif's) using my gap-removing algorithm.

Star Trail Stacking Script

And for those who may not have seen it, here is the accompanying (free) tutorial (from 4 years ago, published on NPN some time ago as well, and still very much up to date): The Twilight Hour

Hey, thanks a million for sharing your efforts here, Floris!
The 'gap-removal' was a major PITA, so I greatly appreciate this.

Fantastic Floris - thanks! Your tutorial has been my instruction manual for shooting star trails! Greatly appreciated!

Floris,
Thanks for the script & the tutorial from before. I shot my first star trails set of images this January at Cape Hatteras & followed the tutorial step by step. It ended up being a killer shot. Click here to view.

I blended the images for the NPN posting, but went through your gapless technique last week by hand for a large print & it worked flawlessly. It's help like this that makes this forum & the photography community great!
