Boulder Flatirons at Chautauqua Park
Extending on Tony's Frosty Morning theme...
I was at Chautauqua Park Wednesday morning. It probably wasn't quite as frosty as RMNP, but there was a nice dusting of snow that didn't last long after the sun hit.
Nice! And crisp! I wouldn't have minded taking in the sunrise from here. As it was, I was at home waiting for contractors to come by...

Hi Scott,
I love the Flatirons after a fresh dusting of snow. I got a pretty good one there after the February snowstorm with the moon overhead. I was standing right next to Glenn Randall when I shot it, who told me that he calculates lunar locations. I just happened to be lucky
You'll have to let us know when the wildflowers start coming up at Chautauqua.

Scott - I was in a conference room on Wednesday morning and I was wondering if anyone was out photographing the Flatirons. Your image is nicer and more crips looking than I even thought it may have been from watching it in Longmont.
Great image andthanks for sharing!

Scott, what time did you get there to shoot the sunrise. Any idea what time this shot was taken at?

I arrived right around 6:00am. Sunrise was at 6:07am. I shot 3 sheets of 4x5 between sunrise and 6:15. And this shot was at about 6:20am. I haven't picked up my 4x5s yet, but that's what I was shooting during the best light.

Thanks Scott. This info will allow me to maximize my sleep. I'm thinking about going early Sunday morning.
