Hi Guy, well no one can ever say your postings are not diverse, top marks on such a broad spectrum of imagery.
I really like the balance on this, the larger version really brings it home, perhaps all postings should be larger, deleting the smaller version? The low perspective always ticks my box, love it. Control of the B&W's has been handled extremely well and understanding, although based on the posting perhaps you could get a fraction more detail out, but guess on the final version this will have come through far more than a compressed web image.
A good example of what seems to be simplicity, but then they tend to be the hardest to achieve.

Wonderfully detailed image of an eider Guy. They are busy oooooohing just now all over the coast. No nits at all.

Nicely handled, and the low pov makes the picture.

I spent a long time trying to get these on Shetland over the last couple of years - didn't get anywhere near this though Guy. The eye causes the most problems for me when trying to hold the whites..........
Super work as ever

A bird that is high on my list this year, and if I get a shot as good as this I will be well pleased. As already mentioned, the exposure is nailed. Top shot, Guy.
