I'm thinking about upgrading my Canon Rebel XTi, and a co-worker might be interested in buying it. However, it is absolutely FILTHY. There are a lot of dust bunnies on the sensor (which I've just been zapping out in post-processing), and the exterior is beyond filthy. I dropped it in the mud about 3 yrs. ago and never could get all of it out of the crevices (I shudder to think what might still be inside...) Anyone have an idea what Canon might charge for a deep cleaning? I was going to submit an online request for an estimate but I can't see the serial number (I put on a quick release plate and I don't have an allen wrench to remove it!) and I've lost the original paperwork, so can't get an online estimate. I don't want to spend a ton on a cleaning if I can only get a couple hundred out of it by selling. Thanks for your insight and help.

I sent my 5DII in last January for a complete clean, check and adjust and it cost me $225. :frown:

If you have a GOOD camera store in town, they might be able to handle it for less. Many of the bigger stores have a tech that do a lot of the minor stuff, like clean sensors, etc. Might be worth a call.
