Cool! Glad you got enough sunlight to produce a shadow. My nephew and I planned to return from Zion by way of MV, but that was on Sunday. Looks like we might've been marginally okay, shadow position-wise, but every night we were out it clouded up at sunset, including Sunday.
Really like the subtle light and color. Like the light clouds in the sky as well.

Great shadow, Richard! It looks like it was perfect timing!

Richard,
It was good to meet you and thank you again for the RMNP decals. The light clouds were nice for the background sky. When I drove back through MV this afternoon, the high winds had plenty of dust in the air.

Fantastic catch Richard..makes me wish I could have been there.
Great POV on a VERY photographed location. And then you add those awesome soft tones of twilight and ice the cake with the coveted shadow, and Ba Da BING, what an image! This would look amazing printed 4 foot wide on canvas...

I'm kinda digging the subtle aspect of the shadow. The sky really helps with this as well.
Richard, I've shot from the parking lot at the View before (lietrally passing by as we drove up to Colorado), but this is obviously on the ground floor. Is it kosher to just walk down there, or do you get fussed at by anyone? I noticed there were tour vehicles when I was there that drive you down but I didn't see anyone walking.
