Hey everyone. I know I kinda fell off the map as far as this forum is concerned, but I've decided I need to get active again. I thought I'd start by posting some recent images I took when the spring snowstorm blew through Arizona a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that Chikku, Doug and others got some quality shots in my home turf of Sedona after the storm...I had decided before it arrived to hunker down at the Grand Canyon to wait it out. While I hated to miss the snowy scenes back home, I was glad I made the choice I did as I finally got some interesting shots of GC. The first shot above was taken during a glorious morning along the rim trail between Mather and Yaki points (closer to Yaki, for sure).

The second is near the end of the storm when I got some nice light on Isis Temple from Yavapai Point. To see more images from my trip, have a look at my website gallery dedicated to it. You can also read more about in this blog entry.
Nice way of returning Guy! Both images are very nice, but that first one is super! I LOVE the "V" shape canyon, low lying clouds and the contrast between the rocks and the snow tops everything off. Nice work!
Yeah, what Grant said! Wise choice coming here instead of sticking around the homefront (esp. if Spring cleaning was on the agenda!).
An excellent series and the first one especially is worthy of inclusion in a certain Arizona magazine.
'Developed' to perfection, too. Congratulations, Guy!

Beautiful shots. Wish I could have been there rather than in the Phoenix area.

Beautiful shots of the Grand canyon Guy! Definitely was well worth the trip. Been wanting to shoot Grand canyon in snow for a while now. Guess I will have to wait till next winter. I also love #4 on your website. Some great cloud drama.

Guy, very nice set on your web. It was worth leaving Sedona. #1 Pipe Creek makes a great V that sucks the eyes into the canyon. The snow accents it off well. Of the two versions, I prefer the more subdued reds in #5 shown on your website.
Sweet shots, Guy--good to see you again! That second shot has a ton of potential, but the cut-n-pate look bugs me a bit. I'm not sure the solution...maybe warming up the whites a bit I dunno, maybe check the original files--if they don't have the same look, then try to emulate the original file.

Welcome back, Guy.
I love snow in red-rock country when it's fresh.
#1 is also my favorite from your outstanding series.

Gorgeous photos! They're both stunning but #2 is extra special!
