Smith Creek Morning
Well..I was hoping to still find some flow in Smith Creek this past Saturday. I believe there was just enough to make the trip worthwhile. It was cool, the light was sweet, and there was just a bit of a breeze. By the time I was half way home in the second hour of the four hour drive the temp was close to 90 and the wind had picked up quite a bit. Just imagine how good that cool water felt on my feet and legs...even if it was only 60 degrees at the time. :toast:

Wow, this looks so much better and cleaner on my monitor and on my IPhone. Maybe I shouyld have sharpened this particular shot for the Web a couple more times. I did it twice in my initial processing and it looks great on Facebook and the phones....suggestions folks?

This is a 'moody' photo with lots of darks and splashes of contrasting whites. The water is NOT overdone. I think some shots of water make it look like milk. Wide angle lens provided great DOF. The stream itself, along with the whites, makes a leading line through the photo. The texture of the rocks near and far with highlights contained thereon, also provide much to the photo.
Nice.

Looks like it was a good day to be in the woods.

You are right that the image does have a strange look to it. Almost like the trees are a double image that does not register the two right. Was it a blended exposure?

Great depth to this photo Bob. Just enough flow was just the right flow.

Bob, one of my favorite areas and it looks like you have captured a beauty.

As I examine the image I see the concern.....I guess there was enough wind motion in the trees upstream to give that appearance

Looks kinda windy that day, but still a great shot, Bob.
