For the month of April, post your TULIP IMAGES, from Outings, HERE, for the Spring Challenge. Please say where you took the shot. Post as many as you want of macro, landscape, in all weather/lighting, shots taken outdoors in the farms and fields of local growers. Nuthin' store bought, or still life. The goal is to get out together and have fun, try out new toys, new techniques and new perspectives on TULIPS.

My first shot of tulips this season. Image taken at Roosengaarde, Skagit Valley. The bloom is just beginning. But, oh boy! the ones in the show garden are so new and pristine, the blossoms show the evidence of recent birth. As seen here, there are still tiny hairs on the bloom and it looks like a sepal is still stuck to it.

S-W-E-E-T !! Oh, did that ever turn out well. A fine processing job, Ned, considering the field conditions. I learned a lot by watching how you picked your subjects, and I remember this group. Really nice selective focusing; glad we could practice that together. Good luck and have a great time in Vegas!

Thanks, you two... I think we did great in blaring, 85 degree direct sun... I am so burned today, though... at least I'll be in Nevada with some color in t a few hours!

These was something appealing about the way the light illuminated the bottoms of these pink tulip cups. Enhanced with Nik filters
