My wife and I spent the winter in California (Palm Springs area) then north of Phoenix (Fort McDowell Indian Casino RV Park). It is good to back in the Denver area.
I would like to share a few images I made over the past couple of months. This first one was on our way to California. This is the Fiery Furnace area of Arches National Park with the La Sal Mountains in the background.

We also made a stop for a few days in Monument Valley. There was a doozy of a storm throughout one day but the skies cleared right at sunset. The West Mitten was the only monument receiving sunlight at the moment this image was made.

Arizona got one of those surprise, spring storms. This was on March 18th. Again, there was just a bit of light as the clouds began to clear and the sun set. I am sure you all recognize the Superstitions east of Phoenix.

Most of the poppies were gone by the time we got to Arizona. However, the hedgehogs were blooming like crazy. I love the color of their blossoms. Common but beautiful.

I made my first visit to Flaming House or House on Fire this visit. We stopped at Blanding on the way home and spent a couple of days. I plan to go back to that area in May with a pal with whom I worked some years ago.

Correct me if I mistakenly identify this monument as Pyramid Peak. It is in The Valley of the Gods toward the north entrance. You take a side road to the north to reach it. At any rate, Joyce and I had a nice, deli-fried-chicken, macaroni salad and rolls dinner with this view while I waited for the light. (Now there is a guy who knows how to entertain his woman eh.)
Thanks for looking. Comments and criticism always welcome.

Nice work, Rod! The first two are my faves because of the nice light and cloud conditions.

Nice varied collection. The subtle light of #1 is sweet.
