Looks bang on to me too, love the BG on this, with the greens fading into the whites. Nicely done, Robert.

Hi Rob, I've been coming back to this image a few times now, so...

- Firstly I might try to get some more detail from the chest, perhaps increasing the mid tone
- Can I assume the grass blades to the LHS) of the KF are in front, if so I might look at trying to reduce it where it runs over the bill.
- Runs some more select sharpening just to tighten things up, especially around the eye
- Having the branch at an angle adds interest, but not sold on the perch, however as this is from a Public hide I appreciate your hands are tied.

Just my feedback Rob. :wavey:

Thanks all for your comments.
Steve, I appreciate the advise but I'm afraid my processing skills are somewhat limited. :frown: (to say the least). I have processed this in Lightroom 3 and done what I can to the best of my ability but my concern is that I'll go to far and end up spoiling what I already have!
I'm not too fond of the perch either but as they say "you takes what you get". I particularly remember this day as I had spent over 4 hours waiting and when this bird turned up it chose that branch to sit on for less than a minute and then flew off again. Oh the joys of wildlife photography.

Very nice photo. I agree with Steve about the processing, particularly about the sharpening to pull out some more detail. But its still a cracking picture and the BG suits the subject superbly. :toast: :toast: :toast:
