Today's Denver Post has an article about baby bald eagles at Barr Lake. Might make for some good shooting, but I've never shot there. Anyone have any experience shooting them at the lake?

The last time I was there was about 10 years ago. You will need a long lens to distinguish the fact that they are Bald Eagles as opposed to a large hawk. I used a 600 with 1.4x on a film camera and the results were less than useful. If you want useable nesting shots of Bald Eagles, Alaska or Florida would be my choice. If you're going just to see them, that's great. A spotting scope would be useful.

Thanks, Don.
A 600, or a trip to Florida or Alaska are all outta the question. Good thing I have NatGeo on cable!
