Jones State Forest

I'm kind of curious. I am thiking about stopping by Jones State Forest for a few photos in about a week and half from now. I have not seen a red cockaded woodpecker in about 20 years or so. I would truly love finding and photgraphing one.

I know that trees are clearly marked, but has anyone been out to photograph them? I also heard that there have been many changes at Jones in recent months.
