When I moved to Kent in the mid eighties, both peregrine and raven were classed as extinct breeding birds, although both cropped up occasionally in winter. Thirty years later and both are re-established as breeding birds in the county. You have seen the peregrines, here is a raven taken with them during one of my photo sessions.
The exif information on the photo is a little suspect, but as best I remember it was:
Hi David, like the 'banking' angle on this and the room around the subject. Perhaps some colour removal from the subject ie blue, or try to neutralise the colour within the Raven based on the larger version may help a little? Just a thought.
A difficult subject to get the detail out from and you have done very well.
Better seen large. Not as strong as your Peregrine images David. With the head turned towards you like that and the tail not prominent it is difficult to fully appreciate that it is a Raven.
Great that they are becoming more successful. We have quite a few down here and my neighbour reckons he gets one pinching his golfballs when he is practising in the field opposite

Thanks for the comments guys. Steve, a slight drop in the blue does improve the image slightly, so thanks for that. Robert, it is not only your neighbour who gets his golf balls pinched. The crows around here do it as well, my wife thinks they do it just to spite her, but my guess is that they mistake them for eggs.

A difficult capture, well executed, IMHO. I like the diagonal positioning of the subject.

This is a species of bird I don't have a shot of, so congrats on this one, David. Re the comp, just needs to be a little further to the right for me.
