I’m a Spokane, Washington based amateur photographer who began his enthusiastic love of photography back in 1968. At that time, my father loaned me his Minolta film camera when I traveled to Europe with the “Student-to-Student” Ambassador program. I slowly regained my interest in photography about 10 years ago with the purchase of a Nikon D70 and now own the D300.

Currently, I work full time at a job I love. For me, there is never enough time in a week to go out and shoot as much as I’d like. My focus is on macro, macro nature and landscape photography.

Welcome Rick! Sounds like we started in photography the same year, I too with a Minolta range finder camera that I purchased with money I saved from summer jobs. I know you'll just love NPN.

Welcome Rick - we look forward to your participation!

My first camera was a Minolta too, a SR-T 101.

Welcome!
Be sure to also "join" the Pacific Northwest forum here - full of local people, local info, and we have regular in-person gatherings.
Go to "forums" at the very top, and then click "Regional : PNWNP" and you'll see more about the PNW group.
By the way, when you post, be sure to check "Notify me by email of responses" (or whatever the wording is )- so you'll get an email when someone replies - to either a forum post or a Gallery post.

Welcome Rick. I hope you are able to get as much from NPN as I have. I bought my Minolta film camera in 1973. I loved that camera and still have it. Now I also shoot Nikon digital. Hope to see some of your stuff soon!
