Without wanting to start another big in frame debate IMHO it is a tad big for me. The details and colours are outstanding though Keith and if it was mine I would still have it printed LARGE!
I really like this one Keith, even more so than your last. What's with the dirt on the beak? He looks like he dived a bit too far for a fish and got a beakful of mud !
Thanks guys ,Nick i am pleased with the shots i got but i take your point about the size but i hope the colour and detail make up for it, but if you get a bird to pose for you then the card does tend to get full.
Robert i think the soil could be down to a bit of tunnel excavation.
Keith.
Big in frame yes... but for presentation here, particularly at the smaller size it is fine, good colour and detail with a pleasant composition, and of course a great background...

Personally I would look at reducing the red and more so, the magenta based on the BKG and the cast within the moss and bill of the KF. The blue of the plumage becomes richer, likewise the green of the moss, however you will need to apply a mask or two to get the balance right.

Very nice Keith. I personally like big in frame, so this is a corker. I agree with Steve though, a little work on the colour balance would really make this photo. A very minor nit: I'm not sure if you used fill flash, but I can see two catch lights, I'd clone out the smaller one if it were mine too.
Thanks to you all,Steve i would love to do what you say but i will have to up my understanding of processing as for layers this would be new ground for me.Paul i did very little to this image and the catchlights are natural.
Keith.

Another good KF shot, Keith. You already know my views on BIF, but none the less a very pleasing image
